It can also affect a species ability to reproduce this has been documented numerous times by zoos and keepers.

Uvb is part of the Electro magnectic spectrum. It part of the light we see produced by the sun. It is very important for all Animals to have access to this. Although it can be a complex subject it is important to understand a couple of basic points.
